Houston - My Hometown Tournament!
My hometown tournament in beautiful Houston, TX is here!! So nice to be at home! I get to sleep in my own bed and hang out with my closest friends, yet still in tournament mode!
Spring weather, birds singing around and not one cloud in the sky!...okay, I might be embellishing a little :)
If you haven’t been to the US Men’s Clay Court Championship you might want to check it out! The set up is perfect! The beautiful River Oaks private county club opens up its doors to host this exceptional tournament!
Surrounded by so much nature and the beautiful red clay courts! Center Court is perfect! Big enough to feel the adrenaline going around, yet intimate enough that you get so close to the players!
Each year this tournament gets better! The tournament director, Bronwyn Greer, is constantly upgrading the grounds for the fans to enjoy!
This year they are offering a beautiful display of food at the player's cafe! Even made to order meals, so good!
They are known to have one of the best player parties in the world! Famously known by the players as an “all white attire” party. It has a magnificent spread of food, drinks and live entertainment! Although this event is private, you might be able to get on the list if you know the right people ;)
Houston is well known for being one of the most diverse cities in the country and that is illustrated through its vast array of incredible restaurants. Some of my favorite restaurants in Houston include Uchi and Kata Robata, a sensational Japanese restaurant with a trendy atmosphere. Caracol and El Tiempo are two Latin American spots with amazing Margaritas and delicious food!
You can’t go wrong with H-town restaurants!
